Quotes to Help You Write

27 Aug , 2014

Quotes, these short but straight-to-the-heart words, they may be what you need to get your mind out of being stuck. Some quotes can help, some won’t, a few here are those considered quotes that can inspire people to write about something, maybe you can find some too.

“The one thing that you have, that nobody else has, is you; your voice your mind, your story, and your vision. So write and draw, and build and play, and dance and live as only you can.”

The words above are from Neil Gaiman, an English author. Ask yourself, what are your differences from the other people? How are you to live by making yourself happy? Despite your difference, how can you connect with other people? What are the things that will make your life on Earth worthy as possible?

“If you do not breathe through writing, if you do not cry out in writing, or sing in writing, then don’t write, because our culture has no use for it.” -Anais nin

Write something that you know, when you experienced happiness, loss, grief, excitement and every memorable memory you can ever remember. What did you feel when the worst event in your life happened? What pushed you to keep on living life the way it has to be? Your experiences, when written and read, can actually change people’s lives; why not give it a try?

“I write books to find out about things.” –Rebecca West

One thing a few people do not know is that, writing isn’t only about writing what you know, it’s also learning about what you don’t know. How will you find that out? It’s up to you, the more you write, the more you find what you’re looking for.

Write nothing but the truth, without fear, you can write something that may change the world.
